At the American University of Florida, students are required to select a proctor to monitor their final exams for all degree programs. As a student, it is your responsibility to choose a proctor who will be available to oversee your final exams. Once approved, this individual will serve as your designated proctor for the entirety of your degree program. The chosen proctor will be required to complete and submit a Proctor Application and Agreement, which will be kept on file by the University for the duration of your enrollment. If you need to change proctors at any time during your enrollment, a new Proctor Application and Agreement must be submitted to the University administration.
Acceptable proctors for the American University of Florida include school teachers, principals, librarians, clergy members, human resources officers, and workplace supervisors. A proctor should be someone who holds a position of integrity; therefore, family members or friends are not eligible to serve in this role.
