The mission of the Bachelor of Science in Psychology program is to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to enhance community well-being. By teaching fundamental psychological concepts and providing training in assessment tools, strategies, and intervention methods, the program prepares students to continuously evaluate and improve adjustment within psychological, physical, social, political, and religious contexts.

The psychology program at American University of Florida is designed to enhance students' ability to provide effective services within the community. While graduates at the Bachelor level will not be qualified to practice independently as psychologists, they will be equipped to handle roles within community settings.
The program will prepare students to recognize existing problems and explore potential solutions. Through the use of psychological assessment, strategies, and intervention methods, students will work within the community, continually evaluating and improving adjustments across psychological, physical, social, political, and religious domains.
Admission Requirements:
To be admitted to the program, students must achieve a grade of “C” or higher in the following courses: PSL 201, STA 202, ENL 213, and ENL 223.
Graduaiton Requirements:
To graduate, a student must fulfill the General Education Requirements, complete a total of 120 credits, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0/4.0, and achieve an average of at least 2.3/4.0 in their major and concentration requirements.
